BoneOscopy’s first press release received extensive media coverage after it was published in December 2024. The news item announced the project’s goal of transforming bone cancer care for personalised treatment plans and was the first action item of the planned communication activities.
BoneOscopy, an innovative Horizon Europe initiative, officially kicked off in January 2025. Over the next five years, researchers across Europe will work together to develop the first technology for daily imaging during regular particle radiation therapy (PRT) to monitor calcium content and bone cancer regression of patients without any additional dose exposure.
