BoneOscopy showcased at CSIC outreach event on EIC opportunities

On 15 April 2026, BoneOscopy partner CSIC (Spanish National Research Council) successfully organised the Jornada pro-EIC in Valencia, bringing together researchers, innovators and funding experts to explore opportunities under the European Innovation Council (EIC).

The event, hosted at the I2SysBio Seminar Room (Paterna, Valencia), aimed to strengthen participation in EIC calls by providing targeted information, institutional support insights and direct exchange with experienced beneficiaries.

BoneOscopy highlighted as a success story

A key moment of the event was the panel “Inspirarse en el éxito”, where Michael Seimetz (i3M-CSIC) presented BoneOscopy as a successful EIC Pathfinder project.

His intervention focused on:

  • The early-stage collaboration between i3M, DKFZ and LIP, illustrating how the consortium was formed prior to the Pathfinder application
  • Strategic insights into the proposal preparation process
  • An overview of the project’s objectives and innovation potential

This presentation provided valuable guidance to participants interested in developing competitive proposals for future EIC calls.

Supporting the next generation of EIC applicants

Throughout the day, attendees benefited from:

  • Detailed presentations on EIC programmes and upcoming calls
  • Information on CSIC support services for applicants
  • Opportunities to engage with EIC grant holders and experts
  • Individual consultation sessions in the afternoon

The event fostered a collaborative environment for knowledge exchange and encouraged participants to pursue high-risk, high-impact research and innovation projects.

This successful outreach activity reinforces BoneOscopy’s role as a reference case for interdisciplinary collaboration and participation in European innovation funding schemes, while contributing to the broader dissemination of EIC opportunities within the research community.
