DESCRIPTION:DGMP2026 57. Jahrestagung\nFrom 16 to 19 September 2026, the 57th Annual Meeting of the German Society for Medical Physics (DGMP) took place in Bamberg, Germany, at the Konzert- und Kongresshalle and Welcome Kongresshotel. The DGMP Annual Meeting is the largest specialist event for medical physics in Germany and brings together more than 800 experts from medical physics and related disciplines to exchange on current scientific and clinical developments.\nThe 2026 meeting was organised in cooperation with ISMRM-DACH and covered key areas including radiotherapy, diagnostic imaging, nuclear medicine, radiation protection and magnetic resonance imaging, with a programme of scientific sessions, posters, workshops and industry contributions.\nBoneOscopy partner THM was represented by Robin Erdmann, who presented the poster “Monte-Carlo-Kommissionierung einer Synchrotronanlage für das Prompt-Gamma-Echtzeitmonitoring in der Partikeltherapie” (Monte Carlo commissioning of a synchrotron facility for prompt-gamma real-time monitoring in particle therapy).\nThe contribution is closely linked to BoneOscopy’s work on Monte Carlo simulations, particle therapy and prompt gamma monitoring. Within the project, realistic modelling of clinical beam conditions is an important step towards preparing and validating measurements with the detectors and bone phantoms being developed by the consortium.\nParticipation in DGMP 2026 provided an opportunity to present this work to the German medical physics community and exchange with researchers and clinicians working on particle therapy, dosimetry, radiation monitoring and emerging technologies for clinical medical physics.\nMore information: DGMP 2026 Annual Meeting ( https://dgmp-kongress.de/?utm_source=chatgpt.com ) | DGMP Annual Meeting overview ( https://dgmp.de/fortbildung/jahrestagung/?utm_source=chatgpt.com )\n
